Finally my #sunflower has started to open! Not a minute too soon, because at almost 6" tall it was about to hit the roof of my house! There's a collection of buds all over this tall and mighty stalk!! Can't wait for it to be in full bloom ️ Love that @tonygrowsfood just threw a few of these seeds in the ground in passing and they've grown into something huge and amazing!

Note: I don't like tomatoes. I like ketchup and marinara sauce all day long but not actual tomatoes. Maybe it's a texture thing. I grew them thinking maybe if I grew them I'd like them, but no such luck. I got a big, beautiful crop of cherry tomatoes and traded some with a neighbor for citrus (part of why I love @nextdoor!) and this batch I decided to dehydrate. My tomato plant didn't survive a windstorm we had so this will probably be the last of them this year. Funny part is I still want to grow them! They're beautiful, easy to grow and if nothing else I love giving/swapping/gifting them!
