I wanted to share a little more info about my ring and the stone itself! I don't agree with the diamond industry in principal so a long time ago I made the choice to not own another diamond. I learned about #Moissanite around that time, then later learned about another similar, but newer stone- the #AmoraGem. It's a perfected form of silicon carbide, and the first stone to exceed diamonds in nearly every measure. It is the most brilliant gem in the world- 10% more brilliance and 200% more fire than a diamond. It is found in nature in stardust and in small quantities in earth's core. It's is currently one of the rarest stones on the planet. It is optically superior and structurally different than moissanite, and will never cast green or yellow like moissanite does. Currently the Amora Gem is illegal to ship to the USA and many other countries, but @fueledbypez managed to smuggle it in through an Indian reservation as the patent laws that restrict it's sale and shipment don't apply there. So I have a rare, smuggled stone with unparalleled fire, brilliance and hardness that was originally discovered on a meteor covered in star dust that fell to earth in the 70's (in Arizona no less!) So cool! I hope any of you reading consider a diamond alternative for the sake of the earth, human suffering and your own budget. The #amoragem is by no means cheap, but is a fraction of the cost of diamond. My stone is a 2.04 carat Internally Flawless E (colorless) stone set in a Tiffany style cathedral solitaire. Max got it through www.betterthandiamond.com and says he had a great experience start to finish :)
