Speaking of the #garden… Starting a few #seeds for the yard garden. I've always considered myself a killer of all things green, but I'm trying to remind myself I grew up with my grandmother and her sister, two world class gardeners who lived off the food they cultivated in war stricken Germany in the 1930's. My childhood summers in #Alaska were short with long days, and they were spent in the dirt weeding, picking and growing. The idea of getting back to those roots (pun intended) makes me feel closer to them ️ Note: I grabbed a few packets of #heirloomseeds, all #organic, #nongmo, and #openpollinated. Most are from #seedgeeks on eBay and didn't cost more than a buck or two.

Wishing my gardener a little good fortune… Found this eerie 3 foot #mushroomcircle in my lawn this afternoon right before he mowed. I googled it and apparently in ancient folklore it's known as a #fairyring and it's super bad luck to disturb it #sorryoscar
