I had a comprehensive blood panel done. The results were intriguing and corresponded with what I learned through my 3 #dna tests. Almost everything was a picture of health! It felt good to know my self care is paying off. However- I am slightly insulin resistant, which makes sense after learning that my grandfather's side of the family was extremely overweight and diabetic. With this information I am slightly changing my diet with help from my trainer to see if that improves my results. Also, experimenting with adding a small (10min or so) burst of high intensity cardio mid-day as my schedule allows. I have got to break this plateau that has been plaguing me for the last three months!! Today was 3 rounds of 20 jumping lunges, 20 kettlebell swings and 1 minute rebounding for a total of 11 mins. #mealprep like a boss!! I recently discovered roasting my veggies a) tastes better and b) let's them hold up to being refrigerated for a few days better than steaming or sautéing. Plus, it's about zero effort. Set it and forget it! I tossed my #brusselssprouts in a tiny bit of avocado oil, pink Himalayan salt and fresh pepper. The #broccoli and #cauliflower got the same but w/ olive oil. 420 degrees for 15 min, rotate trays and then 15 more min or until they start to look golden. I usually also use onion powder because it adds so much flavor, but I forgot to this time :P

Wow. Picture on the left I was 23 and weighed 5lbs LESS than I do now. That is what an hour a day on the elliptical machine, no weights and a calorie restricted diet got me. Talk about #skinnyfat! Now I lift 4-5x a week with 6 days of 20-30 min cardio. Same amount or less time in the gym, more tone, shape, confidence and lower body fat % than ever.
